Double awards success for NorthEdge Capital
NorthEdge Capital has rounded off an excellent 12 months by winning two categories at the Rainmaker Awards 2015.
The firm, following a string of investments in the region including Utiligroup, Solidor, Total Fitness, Accrol Papers and Roberts Jackson, were named the Private Equity Team of the Year, beating off stiff competition from the likes of Palatine, LDC and Equistone.
In addition, the firm’s investment in composite door manufacturer Solidor was selected as the best Small Cap Deal of the Year, a category designed to demonstrate the ability to complete deals which have strategic significance or complexity.
Held at Manchester’s Deansgate Hilton Hotel, the Rainmaker Awards celebrate the region’s outstanding corporate finance achievements. The shortlisted deals and winners are chosen by a democratic vote, meaning that all awards are selected by the community as a whole.
Grant Berry, managing partner at NorthEdge Capital, said: “It’s been an outstanding year for us, with entrepreneurs once more focusing on growth as confidence returns. As a result, we have been able to work with some innovative and driven management teams, demonstrating that the North of England has much to offer.
“Compared to some of our competition, we are relatively new to the marketplace, and I am proud of everyone at the firm for the progress we have made in such a short space of time. These awards are just reward for the team’s hard work, and I am confident that we can go from strength to strength in the coming years.”
